The State Agency of Automobile Roads of Ukraine (Ukravtodor) allocated 15 billion 25 million UAH to finance road infrastructure, deputy chief of Ukravtodor Oleksandr Kharchenko told a briefing at the Cabinet of Ministers, ForUm correspondent reports.

"As of today, 15 billion 25 million UAH were allocated for the financing of road infrastructure. Of them are actually funded: paying off debts for earlier loans (55 billion 448 million UAH), subventions for public roads (1 billion 476 million UAH), road works and road maintenance (2.9 billion UAH), repair and construction works - 510 million UAH," Kharchenko said.

He noted the ongoing implementation of the joint projects with international financial organizations. In particular, within 10 months of the year, works were conducted on the roads Kyiv - Kharkiv, Kyiv - Chop, Kyiv - Odesa, Kyiv - Kovel. "Traffic on the section of Boryspil-Lubny road was opened at the expense of the World Bank," he said. 

Ukravtodor deputy chairman added that some sections of the Kyiv-Odesa road are also being constructed at the funds of the international financial organizations. "Works on these sites are to be completed in December 2014," he said.

"It is scheduled to perform works on 3.149 kilometers of roads on the other objects of the road network. As of today, 510.5 km are done. Until the end of the year we plan to perform the works on 800 km of roads," he concluded.
