The Primorsky district court of St. Petersburg resolved to release a member of the Arctic Sunrise crew, citizen of Ukraine Ruslan Yakushev on bail of two million rubles. ForUm learned this from spokesman of the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine Yevhen Perebyinis.
According to him, Greenpeace will stand bail for him in the next few days.
"We confirm that the court resolved to release Yakushev on bail of two million rubles. He will be released after the bail is stood, just as it had happened with other members of the crew. We expect the Greenpeace to stand a bail in the coming days," Perebyinis said.
The spokesman added that the issue of return of the detainee to Ukraine is not yet settled.
"The issue of return of Yakushev to Ukraine will be discussed, but one of the conditions of bail is his participation in the investigation. That’s why, he is most likely to stay in St. Petersburg for some time. Our Consulate General is going to assist him," he said.
