Since the beginning of the year, Ukraine has exported about 11 million tons of grain, President of the Ukrainian Grain Association Volodymyr Klymenko told a press conference, ForUm correspondent reports.
"This year, Ukraine will export about 30 million tons of grain. It has already exported 10.8 million tons, including 5.75 million tons of wheat, 1.95 million tons of barley and 3.1 million tons of corn," he said.
Klymenko said that earlier the export process slowed down a bit due to rains, but now it is stable.
He also reminded that last month Ukraine exported 3.4 million tons of grain.
However, Klymenko noted that Ukraine continues to look for markets due to the fact that our traditional markets (North Africa and the Middle East) cannot buy more than they need despite the significant increase in grain harvest in Ukraine.
