Ukraine will receive significant support from the United States in case of signing of the Association Agreement with the EU, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to Ukraine Geoffrey Pyatt told reporters today in Dnepropetrovsk.
The ambassador noted that "he is convinced in supporting."
"I still hope Ukraine to sign the Association Agreement with the European Union," he said.
He stressed that for Ukraine this agreement is extremely important and provides tremendous opportunities to expand the economic base, improve the health care system and to create new jobs.
At the same time, Pyatt said that Ukrainian people, geography and resources made a strong impression on him. "The best way is to use this huge potential and to join the institutions of the European Union," the U.S. ambassador noted.
According to him, if Ukraine takes a step toward association with the European Union, the United States will help Ukraine to take advantage of these opportunities.
