The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine appointed celebration of the five anniversaries in 2013.
Appropriate resolutions were taken at the plenary session of the Parliament.
In particular, the deputies appointed celebration of the 100th anniversary of birth of Yevhen Bereznyak, the 125th anniversary of the birth of Ostap Vyshnia, the 175th anniversary of birth of Pavlo Chubynsky, the 100th anniversary of birth of academician of the National Academy of Sciences Volodymyr Sergeyev and the 170-year anniversary of birth of Ilya Repin.
MPs refused to appoint celebration of 8 more anniversaries.
