Russia is radically increasing the pressure on Ukraine because of its intentions to sign the Association Agreement with the EU, Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt posted on Twitter.
"Reports of Russia radically increasing pressure on Ukraine. Brutal politics of threats and coercion. Seeks submission," Bildt writes.
He also noted that a reduction in volume of trade between Ukraine and Russia is now being discussed, which, according to the Swedish politician, Russia does consciously.
"Talk of trade between Russia and Ukraine cut by app 25% last few months. Significant negative economic effects. That was the intention," Bildt said.
