As of November, the wage arrears in Ukraine have amounted to about one billion UAH, social policy minister of Ukraine Natalia Korolevska told a briefing, ForUm correspondent reports.
"In general, the wage arrears, according to the statistics in Ukraine, have amounted to about one billion UAH. It is divided into the depts of state and private ownership. And if the public sector has a gradual downward trend of debts since March, then the private sector has, unfortunately, the growth of debts," she said.
The minister stressed that today there are a number of economically active enterprises, which use earned money, but do not pay wages.
According to her, the State Commission on Labor will control the activities of these enterprises till the end of the year.
