The government of Ukraine decided to provide humanitarian assistance to the Republic of the Philippines, which is affected by the typhoon. The corresponding order the Cabinet of Ministers approved on November 18, 2013, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported.
The funds for the assistance will be allocated from the reserve fund of the State Budget. It is provided use almost UAH 3.5 million to purchase necessary goods and deliver them to the destination. For this purpose, funds will be allocated to the State emergency services including to cover costs of the Defense Ministry related with transportation.
The Foreign Ministry was instructed to arrange the issue of humanitarian aid delivery and its transfer.
