The government submitted a number of legislative initiatives to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, first vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Serhiy Arbuzov said, ForUm correspondent reports.

According to him, the bills relate not only to issues of association with the EU and politics, but to the basic spheres of life as well.

"Our responsibility is very high and is not limited to the electoral framework or short-term interests. Thus, 5 bills concern social sphere, 7 – development of the financial sector, issue of government bonds, deregulation of business, 2 - development of the investment activity. One government bill concerns national security and defense," the first vice PM said.

Arbuzov added that each of these drafts has its own special significance, and the Cabinet expects the Parliament to support them. "The activities for the anniversary of the Holodomor are also relevant. It is a matter of national importance, and we have already started to prepare for this date," he assured.
