Ukrainian authorities are in constant talks with Russia to address the drop in trade turnover between the countries, President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych said during a dialogue with the employees of Zaporizhya Regional Perinatal Center, the President’s press service informs.
According to the President, as of today there is a significant drop in trade turnover with Russia - almost 25 %.
"We did not stop and will not stop negotiations with our neighbors. There is hope that we will find a common language. It’s a very difficult question," Yanukovych said.
He also added that Ukraine suffers not only from the effects of the global economic crisis. According to the President, the economic losses from the high price for Russian gas for the last three years have exceeded $ 20 billion.
