Deputy foreign minister of Ukraine Andriy Olefirov notes that cooperation with NATO will continue in the context of European integration aspirations of Ukraine.
"Ukraine is the only country, which participates in all current NATO peacekeeping operations, and our further cooperation needs improvement of compatibility of our military and defense forces. Our cooperation will continue in the context of Ukraine's European aspirations. Cooperation with the EU and the NATO is complementary," deputy minister said at "Ukraine - NATO" conference in Kyiv, ForUm correspondent reports.
In turn, NATO's Deputy Assistant Secretary General for Emerging Security Challenges Jamie Shea said that Ukraine is one of the world's most active partners of the alliance. "Sitting down at the table with NATO, Ukraine is able to have more influence on security in Europe. The partnership with the Alliance shows that Ukraine is a good citizen of Europe, which takes care of its security," he said.
