The government will allocate three billion hryvnias on development of agricultural cooperatives in 2014, agrarian policy and food minister Mykola Prysiazhniuk told journalists, ForUm correspondent reports.

"We will get about three billion UAH for the development of cooperatives in the form of leasing of equipment, vehicles and working capital," he said.

The minister said that cooperatives should replace the socioeconomic structure of the Ukrainian village.

However, Prysiazhniuk stressed that the task of cooperatives is to control, provide services and be responsible for their quality.
