President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych instructed Prime Minister Mykola Azarov to take measures to increase the trade turnover among Ukraine, the Russian Federation and the states-members of the Customs Union. The corresponding order was published on the website of the President on November 13.
In particular, the President ordered to take actions on harmonization of customs procedures in Ukraine and the Russian Federation in order to increase the volume of export and import operations.
The government also needs to make an inventory of Ukrainian-Russian international treaties in trade and economic cooperation and to ensure their actualization in order to protect the national interests of Ukraine.
