Ukrainian gas storages have 18 billion cubic meters of gas, and this is quite enough for the heating season, energy and coal industry minister Eduard Stavytsky told journalists, ForUm correspondent reports.
"This is quite enough for the heating season. It is not necessary to make a tragedy out of this issue. Everything passes within the plan, which was approved in the summer during the preparation for the winter season," he said.
Commenting on the question of whether the imports of Russian gas would be resumed due to the cold in Ukraine, he said: "As of today, we do not see any prerequisites to change the plans approved in the summer and increase purchases, based on the balance that we have," the minister said.
