Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov instructed a number of ministries to analyze the state of implementation of all the provisions of the agreement on free trade area with countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States, he said, opening a government meeting, ForUm correspondent reports.

He recalled that Ukraine will take the chairmanship in the CIS from January 1, 2014.

The Prime Minister said that the markets of the CIS countries are still significantly tied with industrial cooperation, mutual investments and trade of goods of critical and subcritical imports.

"At the same time, each country has its own advantages in global markets, which can be intensified, using a potential of the Commonwealth. It is necessary only to shape correctly and prospectively the agenda to strengthen competitive advantages and to use first of all mechanisms of the free trade area among the CIS countries," he said.

Azarov also instructed the Economic Development Ministry together with the Agricultural Policy Ministry, Finance Ministry, Justice Ministry and Foreign Ministry to review comprehensively the status of implementation of all provisions of the contract and to provide the government with analytical findings and suggestions.
