Norwegian Ambassador: Ukraine plays important role in European security

For Europe cooperation with NATO is an important aspect of collective European security, in which Ukraine plays an important role, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway in Ukraine Jon Elvedal Fredriksen stated, ForUm correspondent reports

"Norway believes that a modern alliance is a collective security, as it was before, even though there may be different threats. We encourage and consider it necessary to cooperate with Ukraine as a partner in this situation. It is also necessary to continue modernization, overcome problems of cold war, combat terrorism and piracy and so on," he said.

According to the ambassador, Ukraine is free in its choice of partners and can choose to cooperate with NATO or not, because such choice means a democracy.
