"The EU project "Diversification and development of tourism" is being implemented in Crimea. One of our main goals with this project is a preparation of documents for inclusion of Bakhchisaray Historical and Cultural Preserve on the UNESCO list,” Psarev said.

Experts say two nominations are currently prepared in Crimea: "The historic environment of the capital of the Crimean Khans in Bakhchisaray" and "Cave towns of Crimean Gothia." The information profile of the first nomination is already under review at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris. The information profile of the second nomination is under development. Government analysts say Ukraine has begun to promote its cultural heritage more actively in the world, making it interesting and accessible to other people. In particular, the well-known Spanish cultural and scientific institutions “Ateneo de Madrid” opened the exhibition "Petrykivka painting - the color of tradition" in 2013. The exhibition was held in Madrid within the framework of worldwide promotional tour to promote Petrykivka - one of the Ukrainian brands. In December 2013 Ukraine also expects Petrykivka painting to receive a World Intangible Heritage status.

In addition to promotion of Ukrainian cultural brands in the world, the government is improving infrastructure around the monuments and memorable places of our country. To this end, in particular, the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Infrastructure signed an agreement that envisions the improvement of the roads that lead to Shevchenko's places . In addition, the state will improve roads around the Ukrainian monuments listed in UNESCO World Heritage List . Roads and entrances to other cultural and historical places of the country will also be repaired.
