The Russian Federation does not like a geopolitical choice of Ukraine on political grounds, representative of Ukraine in the Eurasian Economic Commission Viktor Suslov said at a roundtable, ForUm correspondent reports.
"The Ukrainian government is making great efforts to stabilize the situation (with export of domestic goods. - Ed.) in the Russian market. It is clear that the countries of the Customs Union, primarily Russia, do not like the prospect of Ukraine's geopolitical choice connected with the EU but not with the CU due to political reasons," he said.
The official noted that it is necessary to pay attention to the steps of the Russian leadership towards Ukraine.
"Recently the Russian government has announced its readiness to consider Ukraine's proposals on its accession to separate agreements of the Customs Union," he recalled.
