The Ukrainian government has approved the state targeted social program of preparation and holding of the final tournament of the EuroBasket 2015 for 2013-2015 with indicative funding of 13.352 billion UAH.
According to the passport of the state program, the funding from the state budget will amount to 2.298 billion UAH, from other sources, including funds raised under state guarantees - 3.791 billion UAH.
In addition, the local budgets will provide 25.5 million UAH, other sources, including funds raised under the state guarantees - 1.752 billion UAH.
Financing tasks and activities to implement the state program for the Eurobasket-2015 from other sources is expected to reach 5.486 billion UAH.
According to the approved state program, its implementation implies, in particular, the construction of seven multipurpose arenas in Kyiv, Dnepropetrovsk, Donetsk, Lviv, Odesa and Kharkiv, and three modern Olympic basketball training centers in Ukraine.
In addition, it is supposed to ensure the development of the transport infrastructure of host Eurobasket 2015 cities, in particular, the airports in Odesa and Dnipropetrovsk.
