President Viktor Yanukovych is confident that Ukrainians can build strong and independent Ukraine, he said at the celebrations on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Kyiv liberation from fascist invaders, the press service of the head of state reports.
"We can speak different languages, pray in different churches and have different political views. But only with joint efforts, mutual respect, support and self-sacrifice can we achieve great goals. Together we will build a strong, independent and European Ukraine," the head of state said.
According to him, modernization of national economy, reformation of government system, improvement of social standards and strengthening of the Armed Forces create a foundation for modern Ukrainian state and developed civil society.
