The Administration of the President of Ukraine does not consider the possibility of postponing the procedure of signing the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement until 2014 and expects to fulfill all obligations to the Vilnius summit in time.
This was said to "Voice of America" by advisor to the President of Ukraine on the constitutional and legal modernization Maryna Stavniychuk.
According to her, President Viktor Yanukovych has no plan "B" in case of failure to sign the Association Agreement with the EU this year.
"Indeed, the fact that the Parliament considered in the first reading the bill on strengthening independence of judges, the fact that the bills on prosecutor’s office and improving electoral legislation and other issues were submitted to the Parliament suggest that we are working very dynamically and persistently on the issues that need to be addressed till the Vilnius summit," the presidential adviser said.
Stavniychuk believes that Ukraine still has time to fulfill its obligations.
