Advisor to the President of Ukraine Andriy Portnov declared that number of acquittals grows in Ukraine, he told a briefing, ForUm correspondent reports.
"I want to refute the information of some experts that the number of acquittals decreased in Ukraine. This is absolutely wrong for several reasons. In Ukraine, the number of acquittals has grown by times," he said.
According to him, it is impossible to compare convictions with acquittals.
"In Ukraine, the number of convicted persons reduced by 20 thousand for six months in 2013. And the number of guilty verdicts increases due to the contract with the investigation "On recognition of guilt," he explained.
