Third parties have no right to put pressure on Ukraine in choice of foreign policy vector, U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Geoffrey Pyatt said during his speech at Kyiv Mohyla Axademy in Kyiv, ForUm correspondent reported.
"I want to emphasize that the United States join our European colleagues on the issue that an attempt by third parties to block the choice that the Ukrainian government has made - to move closer to institutional relations with the EU - is absolutely unacceptable," the ambassador said.
According to him, the United States together with the European Union will be working on a gradual transition to a deep and comprehensive free trade area if an Association Agreement is concluded.
