The experts of the World Bank during their preparation for the annual Ease of Doing Business ranking appreciated the efforts of Ukraine to simplify doing business in the country, first deputy Prime Minister Serhiy Arbuzov stated, commenting on improvement of the country's position in the ease of doing business ranking.
"The fact that Ukraine climbed 28 spots to 112th out of 189 economies in the World Bank's annual Ease of Doing Business ranking in one year is the best illustration of the effectiveness of our efforts to create the most favorable business climate to reform the bureaucracy and simplify the business. It happened thanks to our reforms in the sphere of dealing with construction permits, registering property and getting credit," Arbuzov said.
"I am confident that next year Ukraine will demonstrate the same progress, and we will be able to fulfill the instruction of President Viktor Yanukovych to enter the top 100 countries with the most favorable business climate. This year we have implemented a number of reforms in the sphere of protection of property rights. We continue to work on improving tax administration, reforming the system of providing administrative services to minimize business contacts with government officials, reducing corruption risks for business. This is just a small list of planned reforms, which next year will allow Ukraine to enter confidently the top hundred countries with the most favorable business climate," Arbuzov stressed.
