Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Rybak believes that the Parliament will not decide on amnesty of convicted former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, but may decide on her medical treatment abroad, the speaker said at an extended meeting of the coordination and advisory council on local government on Tuesday.

According to him, there are currently two laws in the Verkhovna Rada concerning the treatment abroad of people who are serving their sentences, are seriously ill and are unable to recover in these institutions.

Rybak said that the Parliament will consider such laws next week. "And then we will also be able to make a decision on Tymoshenko," he said.

Rybak also added: "Another law was submitted by the Batkivschyna Party on amnestying Mrs. Tymoshenko. I don't think that the Verkhovna Rada will currently vote for such a decision," he said.
