Georgia will remain an ally of Ukraine after the inauguration of George Margvelashvili, head of the Center for Middle Eastern Studies Ihor Semivolos told journalists, ForUm correspondent reported.

"Georgia will remain a partner of Ukraine, and there will be no changes in this direction. Georgian political class almost unanimously, except for Nino Burjanadze, supports the European option," he said.

Semivolos stressed that Georgia still has pro-European sentiment, and there will be no political changes.

However, he noted the difference of the last presidential election. "Georgia has a system, under which it is possible to transfer peacefully power from one political force to another," he stressed.
