Establishment of quotas for Ukrainian export to EU markets is beneficial for domestic producers, governmental envoy on European integration Valery Pyatnitski told a briefing, ForUm's correspondent reports.

According to him, introduction of tariff quotas after the signing of FTA with the EU will enable domestic producers to export certain types of goods to the EU markets under beneficial conditions, as such goods will not be subjected to no customs duties.

In particular, quotas will be set for grain (1.950 - 2 million tons); some dairy and meat products; fruits and vegetables, sugar, starch, juices, honey. "Expected size of quotas will be no smaller than traditional volume of supplies," he specified and added that some Ukrainian tariffs had not bee exported to the EU due to high import duties.

The official also pointed out that all the above mentioned products had already obtained permissions for import to the EU markets.
