Leader of the Party of Regions faction Oleksandr Yefremov does not rule out that tomorrow the parliament may consider the draft bill on treatment of the convicts abroad by Serhiy Mishchenko and Angelica Labunska.

He told a briefing that first the parliamentary committees must present their conclusions on the draft bills, and only then they will be submitted for consideration in the hall. At the same time the MP noted that the Party of Regions had not decided on what draft bill to support, as it did not know which of two draft bills would be submitted tomorrow.

At the same time he informed that the amendments to the legislation had disputable question: for example, whether the period of treatment is included into the imprisonment term, what are the guarantees that a convict does not escape, etc. "As far as I know our colleagues from the opposition does not intend to vote for this questions. And we will vote only if the opposition votes in full," Yefremov said, ForUm's correspondent reports.

"I know why it is happening. At least three leaders of the opposition, who see themselves as candidates for presidency, do not want someone to be released. And I think Tymoshenko herself does not accept the format of treatment only, without legal rehabilitation, proposed by Cox and Kwasniewski. Thus the opposition will do everything in its power to block the consideration of the draft bills," Yefremov underlined.
