Prime Minister Mykola Azarov instructed vice Premier Oleksandr Vilkul and minister of regional development, construction and housing Hennady Temnyk to report on their proposals about development of the construction industry, he said during the government’s meeting, ForUm correspondent reports.

"Housing construction, which share in the total volume of construction in January-September of 2013 was 18%, showed a positive trend +7.2%. But is it enough to solve the housing problem? Has the growth become systematic? Will it continue if the construction loans have decreased by 16% for the first nine months? Probably, it will not," Azarov said.

The Prime Minister instructed Vilkul and Temnyk to report at the next meeting of the government on the implementation of measures and proposals about development of the construction industry in general and about strengthening of the housing construction, particularly, under the affordable housing program.
