Azarov guarantees payment of wages

Despite economic difficulties, the government guarantees full payment of wages from the state budget, he said, opening the session of the Cabinet of Ministers.

He said that over nine months of the current year, revenues of the general fund of the state budget made up UAH 217 billion and grew by 4% against the same period of the previous year.

"But the fact is that this growth is lower against the planned figure of the budget formation - about 9%. Nevertheless, this enables to continuously finance social expenses. Over nine months of the current year, social expanses form the general fund of the state budget were funded to the amount over UAH 213 billion, which is 12% or UAH 24 billion up against a relevant period of the previous year. It is guaranteed that this will further continue: social expenses of the budget and the wage payment will be funded unconditionally," Azarov said.

He noted that over nine months of this year, expenses of the general fund of the state budget for the transfer to the Pension Fund were financed timely and 100% to the amount of UAH 62 billion.

"In total, people received 187 billion UAH in the form of pension payments or 15 billion UAH up against 2012. In other words, in the current year, every pensioner has already received by one thousand UAH up against the previous year," the government head said.
