Azarov: CU restrictions are painful for economy of Ukraine

Restrictions imposed by the Customs Union are painful for the economy of Ukraine, Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov said during the government’s meeting, ForUm correspondent reports.

"Effects of global negative factors on the economy of Ukraine increased introduction by our partners in the Customs Union of trade restrictions for domestic metallurgical enterprises (production of pipes), food industry (production of meet, dairy products, confectionery) and mechanical engineering (production of cars and stores vans). Each such restriction is a very painful loss of production volumes for the producers," Azarov said.

The Prime Minister recalled that the sudden introduction by the Russian Federation of utilization fee for cars led to the fact that the domestic auto industry lost 60% of production volume.
