President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych demanded the government to ensure a moratorium on tariff increase for domestic production in the current and next years, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said, opening a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, ForUm correspondent reports.
According to the Premier, the President demanded the government to provide a moratorium on tariff increase until 2015.
"We need together to improve the situation and to reach our common goal - sustained economic development and improvement of the welfare of Ukrainian families," Azarov said.
The Prime Minister instructed vice Premier Andriy Vilkul and energy and coal industry minister Yuriy Boyko to develop mechanisms to ensure price stability and to freeze tariff increase of state monopolies at the current level.
