Ukraine will be able to supply itself with gas in 10 years, deputy energy and coal industry minister Andriy Bondarenko said, ForUm correspondent reports.
The official said that fundamental changes of situation with oil and gas industry in Ukraine need a locomotive in the form of global investors. "Now we can confidently say that this task is performed, and we start performing technical tasks," he said.
According to him, in 10 years Ukraine will get a status of a country that fully supplies itself with hydrocarbons, including gas and oil in the future.
He stressed that the mining industry will become a leading one in the whole complex.
Bondarenko also noted that the gas production has showed stable dynamics this year. "The increase in gas production in public and private sector has amounted to 3 %," he concluded.
