Head of the Rospotrebnadzor Gennady Onishchenko leaves his post due to the expiration of term of office. His deputy Anna Popova will be appointed as a new head, Itar-Tass reported, referring to deputy Prime Minister of Russia Olga Golodets.
"The term of office of Gennady Onishchenko as a head of Rospotrebnadzor has expired, that’s why he is leaving the post. Deputy Rospotrebnadzor head Anna Popova will be appointed as a new head," Golodets said.
According to her, Popova is a qualified doctor and a good professional.
In turn, Onishchenko refused to comment on this issue.
