Russia may open Russian-Ukrainian schools or new Ukrainian classes, education and science minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Livanov told reporters after the opening ceremony of the Russian-Ukrainian humanitarian gymnasium, ForUm correspondent reports.

The minister stressed that there are already several schools with lessons of Ukrainian language in different regions of Russia.

"Certainly, we believe that we need to give our children more opportunities to expand their scope of knowledge, including learning of other languages," he said.

At the same time, Livanov said that today there are no schools in Russia, where teaching is carried out simultaneously under the Russian and Ukrainian educational programs, as in the newly opened Russian-Ukrainian humanitarian gymnasium in Kyiv.

However, he said that after studying the experience of this gymnasium, such schools can be opened in Russia.
