
Ukraine intends to unite the State Labour Inspectorate and the State Employment Service, social policy minister Natalia Korolevska told a briefing, ForUm correspondent reports.
The minister explained that the Ukrainian authorities want to improve the work of the Labour Inspectorate and Employment Services by combining these two departments. "We offered to unite them for the system to work in the format of "a house of labour", she said.
According to Korolevska, strengthening of workers' rights is a priority task set by the President of Ukraine.
She stressed that the Social Policy Ministry on behalf of first deputy Prime Minister Serhiy Arbuzov has already prepared a draft decree of the President to unite the Labour Inspectorate and the Employment Service.
Korolevska noted that the document has been agreed with five relevant ministries and is now under consideration by the Justice Ministry.
