The next year, the European Union will audit the financial assistance, provided to the Ukrainian budget, Head of Operations at the EU Delegation to Ukraine Andrew Rasbash told a press briefing, ForUm correspondent reports.

According to him, the outcome of the audit will have impact on the amount of further financial support to the budget of our country from the EU. "We will carry out an independent evaluation of budget support, the effectiveness of expenditures... Of course, we operate in a political context, and if Ukraine fulfills all the prerequisites and requirements for the signing of the Association Agreement and sign it, that will allow us to cooperate more actively towards budget support," Rasbash said.

At the same time, he mentioned concerns, which European partners have in terms of financial support for Ukraine. "About 122 million euros have not been yet invested in the programs, in which they are planned to. We are not ready to transfer the money because we are not sure they would be used properly," Rasbash said.

According to Head of Operations at the EU Delegation to Ukraine, the biggest problems in this regard are not sufficiently transparent mechanism for the formation of the state budget of Ukraine, and also non-transparent mechanism for the implementation of public procurement.
