Contradictions in the organization of trade in countries, integrating into the Customs Union and the European Union, can be avoided. This was said by deputy chairman of the Executive Committee - CIS executive secretary Anatoly Dron during the 5th meeting of the Advisory Council for Protection of Consumer Rights of the CIS participating states in Kyiv, ForUm correspondent reports.

"Contradictions between the CU and the EU integrations can be avoided. To do this, the parties should base their cooperation on the principles of free trade, compliant systems of regulation, taking into account the mutual interests," he said.

According to the CIS representative, countries need to work together to solve issues related to intellectual property, transportation corridors, and cooperation in the energy sector.

Dron also recalled that the FTA agreement within the CIS is effective and its member states fulfill their obligations, eliminate barriers on bilateral trade.
