Yanukovych concerned about storage of chemical waste in rural areas

President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych emphasized the importance of solving the issue of processing toxic chemicals stored in the countryside, he said at the meeting of the Council of Regions in Boryspil, the press service of the head of state reports.

"First of all, we must examine the records of the toxic chemicals stored in the countryside. Second, we must decide what to do with them," the Head of State said.

According to the President, chemical waste must be taken out and recycled. "The Industrial Policy Ministry of Ukraine is responsible for that," the President noted.

Viktor Yanukovych stressed that it was essential to use the experience of other countries in the given issue because "they have a coordinated processing of such chemicals".
