The President requires the government to elaborate the program of boat traffic restoration in Dnipro River in order to develop agricultural production. It was stated by him at the meeting of the Council of Regions in Boryspil, the press service of the head of state reports.
"The producers of goods insist that we should restore boat traffic in Dnipro River. It is very beneficial in the economic context. The God created such conditions for us and it is wrong to neglect them. Thus, we must initiate this program, Mykola Yanovych," the Head of State noted.
He said that business representatives who were taking part in the Council of Regions were ready to invest in the cleaning of Dnipro riverbed.
"In order to develop the economy it is important not only to harvest a big crop, but also to ensure its storage and transportation," the Head of State stressed. According to Viktor Yanukovych, transportation of agricultural products along Dnipro River will promote the development of agro-industrial complex.
