Kyiv authorities do not plan to introduce seasonal tariffs for gas and heating, deputy chairman of the Kyiv City State Administration Anatoly Holubchenko said during the extended meeting of the Kyiv City State Administration, ForUm correspondent reports.

"The introduction of seasonal tariffs is a political decision. I do not think it will be taken till 2015," he said.

According to Holubchenko, seasonal tariff for utilities are applied in many regions of Ukraine, but it has a major drawback. "In summer people ask no questions, since the tariff is small (only hot water supply is paid - Ed.), and in December, when we have to pay 2.5 times more, people start complaining about rise in tariffs. That is why the KCSA did not take such a decision in 2009," he said.

In addition, Holubchenko mentioned that the implementation of such a project needs equipping of Kyiv residential buildings with special devices.
