The debt of the "Kyivenergo" power company to "Naftogaz" has increased up to 2.5 billion hryvnia, Kyivenergo CEO Oleksandr Fomenko said during the extended meeting of the Kyiv City State Administration, ForUm correspondent reports.
"This year, we face the unprecedented growth of debt for the consumed heat - more than 2.5 billion UAH, of which 500 million UAH are debts of the city and the state budgets," he said.
According to Fomenko, the amount of compensation in tariffs, which must be repaid in accordance with the government decisions, as of October 1 made up 1 billion 668 million UAH, the debt of housing and communal services - about 200 million UAH.
He noted that the "Kyivenergo" will pay off the gas debt before the end of the month, but the housing and budget debts remain a negative factor for the company.
"Next year, we need to increase investment in the thermal sector," the "Kyivenergo" CEO noted.
