The European Union is interested in the changes, which will take place in Ukraine after the signing of the Association Agreement, Head of Operations of the EU Delegation to Ukraine Andrew Rasbash said at the opening of the II International Forum for Sustainable Development «GREEN MIND», ForUm correspondent reports.
"There are several reasons why the EU is interested in coming changes in Ukraine. First - we want you to be rich and live in a nice place. Second - Ukraine's transition to a "green" economy is a direct benefit for the EU. We can share with you a lot of innovations. Europe knows about Ukraine only in the context of the Chernobyl disaster, so we want to support the "greening" of the development model of Ukraine," he said.
According to Rasbash, legislative changes in Ukraine should lead to a change in way of thinking of Ukrainians.
"We hope that the EU will soon sign the Association Agreement with Ukraine. This agreement implies a huge responsibility and enormous efforts on your part. It provides not only for the adoption of European legislation, but stable "green" economy as well," he stressed.
