Two Ukrainians are trying to declare illegal presidential decree on pardoning former interior minister Yuri Lutsenko through the Supreme Administrative Court of Ukraine.

According to the website of the SACU, October 9, the court examined the complaint of citizen N (on declaring illegal and cancelling the decree of the President of Ukraine of 7 April 2013 on pardoning Lutsenko and his return to the Mena colony to continue servicing sentence) and citizen D (on declaring illegal and abolishing the decree).

"In both cases, the court concluded that the statements of claim were filed without complying with the requirements stipulated in Articles 105, 106 of the Code of Administrative Court Procedure. Therefore, pursuant to part 1 of Article 108 of the Code, they should be left without action," the SACU noted.

The court gave the plaintiffs time to eliminate the shortcomings of their claims before October 23, 2013. In the event of failure to do so within the specified period, the SACU will return complaints on the basis of paragraph 1 of Part 3, Article 108 of the Code of Administrative Court Procedure.
