The European integration for Ukraine is an aspiration to the best international standards, and we need to build Europe in Ukraine for ourselves, President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych stated during a meeting with women - Heroes of Ukraine, the press service of the head of state reports.
"European integration is, first of all, our homework. We have to build Europe in Ukraine for ourselves," the President said.
According to him, we need to strive to improve our living conditions. "What does the European integration mean? It means a desire of our country to reach the best international standards, living conditions, production and social standards," Yanukovych stressed.
He noted that all Presidents of Ukraine during their tenure performed works on the European integration of the country, and today there is no disagreement on this issue.
The President said Ukraine will have the opportunity to join the highly developed countries under the economic growth at the level of 5-7 % per year.
