Winter crops in Ukraine are under threat, director of the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center Mykola Kulbida announced during the press conference, ForUm correspondent reports.
"Winter crops require a certain temperature level in order to reach a sufficient phase of development. Unfortunately, the effective temperature sum was below normal in recent times. It means that there will be no rapid development of winter crops," he said.
According to Kulbida, the winter crops sown last week are under threat and are most vulnerable to the adverse weather conditions in winter.
