Ukraine’s priority in the fight against terrorism is the definition of the conceptual foundations of such activities, first deputy head of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) Petro Shatkovsky said at the OSCE conference "Priorities of international cooperation in fight against terrorism", which takes place in Kyiv on October10-11, ForUm correspondent reports.

In his words, effective combating terrorism needs solving of urgent problems, and exploring the underlying causes of this phenomenon.

"There is no doubt that transnational terrorism is a serious threat, which should be countered by joint efforts of the OSCE countries-participants. In particular, not only at the level of intergovernmental cooperation, but also at the level of cooperation between law enforcement agencies, non-governmental anti-terrorist organizations," Shatkovsky said.
