The Verkhovna Rada has not supported changes to the legislation under which pensions would be accrued to MPs of all convocations and former members of the government on a common basis.
198 deputies voted during the first reading for the bill "On amendments to some laws of Ukraine concerning the principle of social justice in pension provision".
Speaker and author of the bill Pavlo Rozenko (Fatherland faction) said that the document provided the introduction of a single principle of pension accrual in order to cancel the accrual of VIP- pensions.
