Ukraine will not increase tariffs for heating, despite the fact that the population pays only for 70% of their prime cost, minister of regional development, construction and housing and communal services of Ukraine Hennadiy Temnyk told a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers, ForUm correspondent reports.
But in Ukraine should not increase the tariffs but should reduce the prime cost through the introduction of energy efficient technologies," Temnyk said.
According to the minister, this is the main issue, which is now developed in the Regional Development Ministry.
"We make decisions about opportunities to attract investments. In particular, we hope to receive more funds from international financial organizations. We have worked out an opportunity to attract about 16 billion UAH in the modernization of enterprises. This will provide an opportunity to reduce the prime costs by 30% or even more," he said.
