Six more Ukrainian citizens were evacuated from Syria to Moscow by Russian Emergency Situations Ministry plane last night, from where they would travel by train to their homeland, the Ukrainian Embassy in Moscow reports.
According to the embassy staff, all citizens of Ukraine were delivered by transport of the Ukrainian diplomatic mission to the hotel at the Embassy of Ukraine in the Russian Federation.
He noted that the arrived citizens are to go to the place of permanent residence in Ukraine by train. Accommodation, food and travel to Ukraine are provided by the Ukrainian Embassy.
According to the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine, there were about 400 Ukrainian citizens in Syria as of the end of August.
Since the beginning of 2013, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has evacuated 238 Ukrainian citizens from Syria.
